Summer Reading Challenge

The Alabama Department of Education, along with local libraries and schools, is coordinating a state-led summer reading initiative to bolster student reading achievement during summer break. The Summer Reading Challenge will raise national awareness of the summer loss epidemic, share compelling research on the importance of personalized reading activities, and provide access to a variety of free resources to support targeted reading and the initiative as a whole.  This link has also been added to the Parent Websites section located to the right.
